Ne Seninim Ne Kara Toprağın

125×180, series of 3, Woodcut print on Paper, unique, 2022

This work is dedicated to three extraordinary contemporary women, Çilem Doğan, Nevin Yıldırım and Yasemin Çakal, and their resistance against conditions of violence.

“With large-scale woodcut prints Buşki creates a contemporary mythology in which the three women are entitled to the role of ‘real’ superheroes. The resulting portraits prolong the resistance and achievement of the three women through artistic means, offer possibilities for distribution, and underscore the right to life and survival against deadly patriarchal property relations. They are also dedicated to the many unnamed, who often continue the struggle for survival unseen.”
