36 protest banners against 36 pages of hate.
For the exhibition Activist Choreographies of Care: perfocraZe International Artist Residency, in response to the anti-LGBTI bill proposed in Ghana, I created a series of 36 unique protest banners—each confronting one of the bill’s 36 pages. In the winter of 2022, I printed similar banners in collaboration with Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi for a demonstration in front of the Ghanaian Embassy in Berlin on February 5, 2022.
This second edition honors the spirit of solidarity shared by queer communities across Berlin, Kumasi, and Istanbul—solidarity that lives and resists on the streets.
